I have a GoGear Philips audio player that I got about a year or two ago or so.
It’s a 2 GB SA3124, type model
I have it’s entire pack with CDrom with programs; philips device manager and philips media converter, and of course the booklet guide (etc)
it plays video files, mp3s, records voice/sound, has a playlist option, can store and preview pictures and has a build in radio it can tune into and such.
months back i put some pictures on it last and that should not have corrupted it but for some reason it appears it did. I’m not sure what happened entierly though but after i put them on when i tried to turn the player on it said “Connect to PC and use device manager to repair” and then tunred itself off.
If i try to do turn it on again it can go on but when i try to view the pictures in the picture list, they appear broken up and i can’t view them at all. It also says that there are NO songs, albums, genres or playlists or such on the device itself even though I know for a fact that it HAS all the songs I put on. I did NOT take them off at all at any time.
All other options on the device, even the radio workingk are ok but it won’t do anything else at all.
If i plug the device into my PC it does NOT pick up at all what so ever. Even if it shows it’s “devices and removable storage” drive file icon located in ‘my computer’, you cannot click on it and open it, it just says it’s failed and not picking up.
It also will NOT pick up in the philips device manager tool that is suppose to pick up and fix it’s problems when it crashes like this. I got it to pick up it’s model name once on the device manager but it refused to fix at all. It’s button was gray and always unpressable.
i’ve also tried to reset it so many times physically on the device itself by pushing a pin into it’s reset button (seen on its rear-end next to the earphones plug hole). But it remains the same. nothing else happens.
i’ve not tried to contact the company yet as i somehow remain quite sceptical in my mind about what their help towards it would be, i’d assume them to just tell me what i’ve tired already so i’m not sure if i should bother them. But I know i have no other choices really other then to possible waste more time complaining to myself over nothing more and face the fact that it’s probably the case of me having to live without it untill and if i do; bother to buy a new media player device.
But, out of last despaeration for information; does anyone else have any other ideas? I kind of feel i should try the device manager program again just in case to be sure i cannot pick it up ever but apart from that i have nothing. it’s bugging me because i’m pretty sure there was no reason for my devices’s system to go corrupt for dead for some odd reason. it’s strange.
Any thoughts? Any furthur info would be good. Thank you.
Sorry for any bad spellings and grammer.
