I`m still not sure whether i contact Dell, or take it into PC World.

A corner of the plastic casing on the screen has chipped off. (No big deal, but i`ve been told it will affect the screen eventually).
The pin to charge it up is out of alignment. It`s had to be manoeuvred several times, to charge it up.
And now, it doesn`t seem to work without being permanently plugged into the power supply.

It`s a Dell Inspiron, bought from PC World just over a year ago.

How do i remove the reference to a file in my windows registry, on boot up i get an error message saying “windows can’t load the file C:\My Documents make sure the file exists or remove the reference to it in the registry”. I recently put a second hard drive in my pc and relocated “My Document’s” folder to it, any ideas?

I have 2 SATA hard drives and they both have heaps of errors in the event viewer.
The PC frequently turns itself off, freezes, and is very slow on the internet. It wasn’t like this when I first set it up. I do use a fileshare program but I am going to stop as soon as I fix whatever is wrong.
One of the drives is not being seen by BIOS, I have asked about this on answers before but got no help.
What I want to do is back up all data onto one drive and then format the other and then use it as my system drive, but if there is errors on it, will they still be there after the format?
I have done virus scans and they all come up clean. The drives are in SATA ports 1 and 2, its the drive in port 2 that is not recognised but I can still use it in windows. If there is any more information that would help, ask for more details.

I repaired my XP Home Edition (32 bit) operating system last night. Everything appears to be fine, but Internet Explorer is no longer on the PC for some reason. Luckily I have Google Chrome, but to use the Nvidia site to update my graphics drivers it says I must use Internet Explorer. So I went to Windows update and downloaded IE8. Set it to install, but it failed citing a need to download some updates first. But it couldn’t find these updates because I haven’t got IE! How can I get IE back on my PC please? Or is it still on there somewhere but hiding from me? Please help!

I have a 4GB sd card with 45 avi files taken on my videocam. My pc will not open the card, but I can acess it via using a usb cable link to the videocam. Problem is the files seem to be corrupted anmd will not play. Any help with this problem will be appreciated.
