It shows up in Itunes fine, and its an 8gn ipod touch, I want to get my music back off it because im on my pc whilst my laptop is in for repair, and I want the music on my pc or else I can’t sync any new songs, any ideas?????

my pc detects the ipod an di can transfer the songs but the wheel doesn’t do anythingm what could it be? is it expensive to repair?
it doesnt click but alson when looking at the menu it lookks like it is frozen , so i cant even go through the menu

Basically my laptop got a nasty virus and everything had to be wiped from my computer. I took it to a PC repair service where they did a complete system restore to return the computer back to its factory state, as if it were a brand new purchase. So I lost my iTunes on it which contained all of my music, a mixture of CD uploads and iTunes store purchases. However, I have all of my music remaining on my iPod (which is a 4th generation iPod Nano). My computer runs on Windows Home Vista, and I’ve just downloaded iTunes onto it again. How can I transfer all of the music on my iPod onto this new and empty iTunes? I’m concerned about it auto-syncing if I need to plug it in to transfer the music, as won’t this mean I’ll lose all of my music.
Any help or instructions would be greatly appreciated, and in the simplest terms if you could, I’m not very computer savvy you see! Thanks so much!
