I’m trying to save my photos to D drive on XP Home running on a Fujitsu-Siemens Scenic P PC. I’m inserting the DVD disk and then:-
“Start”- “My Computer”-”open folder”-”Select file”-Rt click mouse-”Send to” and only the floppy disk icon appears in the box.
If I try to do it by:_
AS ABOVE. . . . . “Select file”- “Edit”- “Copy to selected folder” -Click on “shared pictures” under the DVD D drive icon the Computer says “insert Disk”
If I try to copy a file from the same disk by:_Inserting the DVD disk and:_
“Start”- “My Computer”- click on DVD icon Again I get “insert disk”.
I was given the (blank) disk by the engineer in my local computer repair shop as he said it should be compatable with my disk drive. It seems to me that the software or hardware is not recognising that the disk is in the drive.
Am I describing an inherent error in XP Home and/ or Fujitsu Siemens Scenic P or is my “Pride & Joy” broken.
Help or guidance much appreciated.

Anyway the local paper is a complete rip off to advertise in I have a website I manage myself so that parts ok. . But what else can I do. . I have thought about leaflets but personally I don’t even read them they just go straight in the recycling bin for me. . .
I will basically be doing the basic level stuff for home users. . . repairing. . . building installing PC’s etc. . However i’d really like to push business services asap installing networks etc. I have the skills its just getting the clients thats an issue for me. I despise telesales and hate the image it gives out so i’d rather avoid doing that.
Thanks for the advice I am not opposed to sales per se. . Just cold calling and high pressure stuff. I don’t like to feel I railroaded people into a deal.

About 2 years ago I dyed my hair dark brown with a “semi-permanent” dye, however it wasn’t actually semi-permanent because it just faded slightly and never properly came out. As it didn’t wash out I decided to continue dyeing it dark brown (still with the semi-permanent dye). Then after a about a year and a bit of dyeing it I decided I wanted to go blonde, so I went to the hair dressers last july and told them this. They said that the “easiest” and “least damaging” way to go blonde would be to get a full head of highlights instead of stripping it and then dyeing it. She said that after around 3 applications of full head highlights I would be considered blonde. But, after about 5 full head highlights my hair is still brown, although a lighter brown with blonde running through it. But my hair gets lighter and lighter as it gets towards the root, the ends are still quite dark (as thats where before the most semi-permanent hair dye was) but my roots are actually quite blonde – because my natural hair colour is light brown, so the blonde takes better there. I’m now bored with my unclassifiable hair colour and would like to be blonde ASAP, I’m considering dyeing it myself at home instead of going to a hairdressers because I know it’s going to cost a fortune! How would i go about doing this? And is it a good idea? My hair is long and not in the best condition, infact its in quite bad condition. But I’d get it cut and make sure I do lots of conditioning treatments to get it in better condition if I were to dye it myself.
