I am tired of using youtube to host my videos, and I didn’t particularly like google videos. Where can I get a free customisable flash video player?

I have been using WordPress for some time now and love the thumbnail gallery type plugins that are available.
It is possible to create something similar in a general non CMS website, not using Flash itself? I can do the basic type with JavaScript or html but I want to jazz it up a little.

I went on youtube today and found out i couldnt watch any clips and it said Either you dont have the newest abdoe flash player or java script is turned off.
I tried going onto java script by typing it into the start menu but when i click on it a black box appears and the dissapears again really quickly so theres no way i can even get on to it. Therefore i tried downloading the newest abdoe flash player and when i click on it a yellow info bar at the top of the screen comes up saying “internet explorer has blocked the site from using acitve x controll in an unsafe manner. As a result this page may not be displayed porperly” and because of this i cant download it. Iv tried allow popups, incase its that but nothing is working, and i also have a new laptop with vista etc, so i know its not due to the age or requirements of the pc. However yesterday i did repair my 40d as it wasnt playing, via an email which they sent me which involved a lot of copying and pasting in the command promt box located in accessories, however my 40d still isnt working. So my question is. . can anyone help me be albe to watch youtube clips again by doing something about abdoe or java script??? Help!!!!!!!

Human error. . . my error caused the malfunction. I fear i may have permanently damaged it beyond repair.
The problem is: when i insert the flash drive, it is detected by the computer, so i have to use the safe means of removing the device.
However, if i wish to access files on the flash drive, the coputer says insert disk in e:\. It’s there. It’s as if in one way the computer knows it is there, but it is effectively invisible if i wish to access files.
How did it happen? I inserted the flash drive in a pc, the pc said it could not read it, so could i use c:\ something, dll, i think, to read it. since then. . . problem!

I have read the answers others have put but the link to the pc repair tool site is useless as it wanted me to register and pay to get rid of it!! Please if anyone can put in “idiot” steps how I get rid of it I would be so grateful.
I have permission to use them. I need to put them on my web site, blog and into promotional leaflets, emails. I downloaded a programme to save flash images but don’t understand how to extract the images from the ‘film’. I need to use them as jpegs or other image files.
I am reasonably computer literate but have no art / web design knowledge.
