A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 8gb Memory for my psp on ebay, I paid £25. It took over 2 weeks to arrive. On listing it stated that Item was in and would be dispatched from uk. But it wasn’t it had been dispatched from hong kong. The memory card was a fake not a genuine sony Memory card as stated on listing. I put memory card in to my computer to see if it worked and to try to put some music on it to listen to on my psp, but as soon as I put the memory card in to the memory card slot on my pc my antivirus software started bringing up messages saying there was a virus. Before I could remove memory card the computer died and would not re boot. I Took it to a computer repair shop and they said it was in repairable. So I have had to spend out £600 on a new computer. My husband acidently put memory card in psp after this and the moment this memory card was put in psp the psp died. Luckly psp was repairable and cost me £40 to get repaired. I complained to paypal to try and get my money back for memory card but they are refusing to give my money back unless I can produce a report from a reputable company confirming that memory card is fake and was the cause of damage. I find this stupid and would not know where to go to get one of these reports. I bet it would cost as much as the amout I paid for memory card. So much for buyer protection. Does any one know where I could get such a report and how much it would cost. Also what would my legal rights be regarding sueing the person I bought memory card from for damages. I feel they should be resposible for paying the cost of a new computer as It was the item they sold me that caused the damage to my computer. I was asking for advice not rude answers. In answer to one persons response. Memory card came with a adapter so that you can put is straight plug it straight in to pc. Also my computer was absolutly fine before I put memory card in to it. I update the virus definitions every day and do at least one scan a day so know that there was defernatly no virus on it before. The messages only came up the moment I put memory card in. Also If its not the memory card how do you explain it damaging my psp too. When my husband put memory card in my psp, screen froze then it switched off and would not switch back on. On final this my in repairable I mean they tried every thing even re installing windows but it would not let them computer kept freezing and switching off.
I belive there must have been a virus on memory card and that as coon as I put memory card in computer it infected it. This is the olny reason I can think of as to why it ruined my ps and damages psp.
I ment to say I do have the sellers contact details including address and telephone number. I also have a email from them admitting liability and appologising for problems caused. They have offerd to refund my money for memory card but only if I send memory ard back. Although memory card is no use to me Im not sure whether to send it back as, one there in no garantee that im going to get my money back and secondly its the only evidence I have.

The 3 Biggest Seo Lies – Fake Ideas That Many Believe

The net is an infinite source of information with billions of pages indexed by the search engines. Also, it is a place where anyone can write articles, web pages etc. . . and have them seen by thousands of people.
A very popular subject today is SEO : it is discussed everywhere and you can find an incredible number of articles, ebooks, web sites giving SEO tips, recommendations that will help you understand search engines and how their algorithm work. But unfortunately the net is also full of wrong information, written by newbies that do not have any SEO skills. It is important to don’t believe everything you read online and remember that people writing articles are common people like you and me and also that most of the times, the accuracy of the information contained in an article is not verified by the publisher. The result of all this is wrong information and theories can be believed and distributed, and SEO is an excellent example, with so many wrong “tips” that are totally absurd at the eyes of the real professional, but will often will be believed and applied by the web site owner with little SEO skills but willing to learn how to rank high.
Here are the 3 biggest wrong ideas I saw so many times online :

1 – Duplicate content will harm a site’s rankings

How many times did you read that duplicate content will harm your rankings ? A lot !
Duplicate content is when you use a page or a paragraph taken from an existing web page listed in the search engines, that will have for effect that
this content is not “unique” anymore. It is not true that duplicate content will cause a drop in a site rankings and, most of the times, if the author
did not try to fool search engines with “black hat SEO techniques” using the same content over and over, it won’t have any effect at all on the
site’s S. E. R. P (Search Engines Result Pages).
This is what Google itself says in the Google’s Webmasters Guidelines : “Duplicate content on a site is not grounds for action on that site unless it
appears that the intent of the duplicate content is to be deceptive and manipulate search engine results. If your site suffers from duplicate
content issues, and you don’t follow the advice listed above, we do a good job of choosing a version of the content to show in our search results. “
. . . so as you see, nothing to worry about if your intentions are legitimate.

2 – The more back links you have, the higher your site will rank

It was a few years ago true, at the moment where search engines started adding Link Popularity in their search algorithm (mathematical equations that determine
a site’s rankings).
At the day of today where search engines are so sophisticated that their behavior is getting really close to human’s behavior this is a completely
wrong and outdated idea.
Today, the quality is much more important that the quantity and a few back links from authority relevant sites (20 is enough!) will boost a site
up to the first page, in front of sites that count a few thousands of those back links.
I own a site that has exactly 112 back links and it is still ranking in 3rd to 5th position on Google’s first page in front of sites with literally
tens of thousands of back links (right after me the next site has over 20 000 of them) in a very competitive niche.

3 – SEO is long and hard.

Thanks to over 10 years of experience in SEO, i can today affirm that SEO is not hard at all if you know what you are doing.
With the knowledge I gained over the years, I often manage to obtain first page ranking for a site after not more that 10 hours of strategic work !
Here are a few of the “Musts” you should always keep in mind when optimizing a site :
- Build a site following Google’s Guidelines with all pages reachable one from another and include a HTML sitemap.
- Check for broken links and misspelled words (very important! A page with misspelled words won’t rank high!)
- Do not use “black hat” techniques or underestimate search engines intelligence by trying to fool them : you will ALWAYS lose on the long term.
- Obtain not over 10 links a day from relevant high PR web sites.
If you follow those simple recommendations, you will definitely see your site rank a lot higher, and sometimes way higher than you thought. Nothing hard right ?
