I’ve got a fairly new Samsung Soul (only had it a few months). I usually talk through texts, so I’ve only just realised that I have this issue. Basically, when I receive an incoming call (when the phone is shut and the screen is off), the screen stays black. The backlight and keys light up, and the phone rings, and I can take the call, but the screen stays blank. Also, the screen will remain blank until I have allowed it to turn off (you know, like they do after a few seconds) and come back on again. The rest of the time, and on outgoing calls, the screen works fine.
I know that I will probably either have to return the phone, or use a repair service. But I was wondering, is this a known issue, and is there an easier way to solve it? I read a review by someone with the same issue, and somebody said you can solve it by updating the phone’s firmware. . . . But I’ve checked the website and the “PC studio” and there isn’t an option to update the phone! I’ve also tried resetting the display settings.
Does anyone have any knowledge about this issue? Thanks.

My brother had a virus on his pc yesterday, and Avast detected it. he clicked repair and it said it had been repaired but after that the desktop kept flicking between the icons and blackness. Is there something wrong with Windows explorer, as when the screen goes black it closes all active windows so its hard to try to do anything. Is there anyway of fixing Windows explorer, is it corupt or something. Tried to repair from the windows disk at boot, but that seems more geared to fix it if you cant boot at all, and the stupid list of functions on Security console dont make any sense to us. Any ideas? All system restore points are gone to so thats out of the question Please help.
