Hey,
I created a website and it was PPC and I was making maybe £150-£175 a day in commission when people downloaded and installed the software.
As you know wordpress runs off a MySQL database, today the website was fine at 9am as I just added and checked some new content, the next thing I know the site is down, “database connection failure”.
So I log into my control panel (with fasthosts!!!!!!!!!!!) and what do you know that the database user has been deleted!!!
So all posts, pages, everything is wiped!!
Does anyone know if these big companies keep backups or anything, I have already started building it again but I just can’t be bothered.

Typically hosting services do run automated backups, and you can request one. It’s hard to know when the last backup was, so you will likely lose some data.
Once you get the site working again, you should run your own backups too.
There are complete instructions for backing up your site here:

Best of luck to you
You need to contact the host. They can go back thru their logs and determine what happened, and with luck, restore your site.
But – not all hosting companies keep backups, even if they say they do. Even if they do, that backup can get corrupted, the server could break, any number of things can go wrong. I’ve seen it happen.
Never trust someone else to keep a backup of your important files. Backup your own stuff to a flash drive or cd, whatever you prefer and have copies locally. Do it once a week at least. If something happens, it’s a quick fix.
Good luck.
