basically all you have to do is when you change providers is log onto the bt mail website and sign in.
Generally with isp provided email there is an element of security as they can see you attached to your own line. If you use an smtp client like Outlook Express they may well refuse to accept your emails this way when you change. Also many isps include the email only as part of your broadband contract.
