Hello, i am currently working on a flash website. Part of my website includes a long flash animation of the African Savannah – So the grass moves to the wind, the lion chases the gazzelle etc. Its basically a long movieclip that seems fairly realistic.
And I recently found out that flash is capable of 3d environments, by the use of 3D engines. These explain what i mean. .

If you play the doom game you can roam around in a room right? Take a look at the barrels and every angle you look at them the movieclip (what it is) is exactly the same.
I would like to make a room like that but replace the barrels with grass movie clips, and the walls with that savannah clip i have been working on. So the user can move around and look around the savannah is if he/she was there.

How can i do this? Do i need one of those engines and are there any tutorials? If not how did that person create the 3d perspective in the doom game?

Thank You very much :D .

(p. s. all those 3d engines i’ve checked out but nothing seems to offer the same as what is in the doom game).

I think your best approach would be to use middleware solution such as papervision3d
also flash isnt the easiest program to use for 3d development. It might be easier to use shockwave 3d instead since its designed to be used with 3d and its web deployable. though its not really that popular nowadays and does take some time to get into(much like any programming language. . . ), but its very similar to flash
